ABOUT ME

A Professional Here To Walk Alongside You On This Journey

I am a fully qualified and insured counsellor and a member of the BACP (British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists). â€‹

I am an integrative psychotherapist and I bring a relational approach to my work with clients. I specialise in relationship therapy, life transitions and exploration of the self. I have additional training working with psychosexual and relationship issues, trauma and existential angst. During our journey together I will be your guide to explore what it is that makes you who you are. Together we will delve into what it is that brings you meaning and purpose and establish healthy coping mechanisms through the building of self-awareness and reflexivity, celebrating the process of change as it unfurls.

"We are all in this together and there is no therapist and no person immune to the inherent tragedies of existence." - Irvin Yalom. Ultimately, we are two travellers on this journey together. I will teach you and you will teach me.

Have a look through my website to read more about my qualifications, what to expect when starting a counselling process with me and a little bit more about who I am.

I currently hold face to face, online and phone counselling from Sapphire Practice rooms, in Exeter City Centre and Bridport, Dorset.

YOUR JOURNEY

It's completely natural to feel a little bit hesitant or nervous when looking for someone to talk to. It's a big step.

If you're reading this, you've already made that step into looking into your options, that's something in itself.

If you are looking for your first experience of counselling, or perhaps you have had sessions with another therapist and are looking for something different, feel free to get in touch and we can have a relaxed conversation about what it is you are hoping to gain from any future sessions.

When, or if, you feel that you are ready to contact someone, know that I hold a safe space, a listening ear and the chance for you to talk through and gain a deeper understanding into what makes you, you. Most importantly, therapy is your time.

"Only by making friends with the shadow do we gain the friendship of the self"

SERVICES I OFFER

I currently offer face to face, online and phone sessions for individuals and couples aged 16 and upwards. Sessions are LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent inclusive.

 Introductory sessions - £20.00

50 minute Individual sessions - £55.00.

60 minute Couples sessions - £80.00.

I hold open-ended sessions. This means that there will not be a set amount of sessions allocated. You can decide however many sessions will be best suited, for your needs.

Please note, Sapphire Practice Rooms does not have wheel chair access and there are many stairs to reach our floor. If you are unable to manage stairs, or need wheelchair access, please get in touch.

Individual therapy

Individual sessions offer the opportunity for those in need, to offload their day-to-day worries and delve deeper into their history of what makes them the person they are today.
Whether it be to get all of your "ducks in a row" and find a place of contentment, or to gain understanding into how your past may affect your present mindset. Individual therapy allows us to lean into to who we really are and find compassion and kindness to the parts of ourselves that might carry shame.

Online and telephone therapy

Online and telephone counselling works well for individuals and partnerships. Virtual therapy offers those that cannot reach a therapist in person the opportunity to engage in the therapeutic process from a distance.

Online and phone therapy can be more cost effective than in person therapy, as it can reduce childcare and travel costs.

Online counselling also opens up the opportunity to work with counsellors in and outside of the UK.

Relationships/couples therapy

My approach in Relationship therapy offers those in Monogamous, Non-monogamous and platonic relationships a space to unpack any difficulties they might be sitting with. Allowing partners an equal space to share and explore together. Whilst developing a deeper curiosity, acceptance and compassion for one another.

Relationship therapy can be a space used to repair fractures, build healthy communication habits, understand our partners more deeply, and/or bring a relationship to a close.

My responsibility is to hold a safe space for all partners to work through the fractures that can build up during a meaningful partnership/s and work towards a resolution.

Walk and Talk therapy

Walk and talk therapy or, Outdoor therapy involves sessions that takes place whilst we walk together in nature. If you're someone that struggles to sit face to face and share, this could be an option for you. Walk and talk therapy includes the benefit of being out amongst the fresh air and soothing scenery. Moving the body whilst we process can help to regulate the nervous system. My four legged companion, Salty may even join us at times.

Please note, I only offer this service to clients based in the Bridport area at the moment.
